Norma's interest in the fashion business has been carried on through her daughter Rhoda's fashion company in NY, where she draws from her mother's belief that everyone should have the freedom to interpret their own style like her mother. Norma's interests in the arts also drew her to painting, and to support many cultural organizations. She loved Broadway and never lost her love of NY City. She was philanthropic and always supported causes close to her heart.
In later years, her business Original Herkimer Treasure House, the wholesale shop located in the cheese factory in Ilion, led her to expand the gift package business and further develop a national cheese and gourmet gift package business. She took her love of antiques and added an antique shop to her existing business and became a well-respected expert on antiques and estate sales.
She was a member of the Temple Beth El Sisterhood, the Mohawk Valley Country Club Women's Group, the Historical Society, the Association of University Women and many more organizations that she lent her time and talents. Her civic, professional and cultural accomplishments were only surpassed by her love for her family.
