Mr. Allen Harold Sachs, 79, of New Hartford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 3, 2009, with his loving family by his side, in Sitrin Health Care Center, New Hartford, where he resided. Allen was born on June 5, 1929, in Rochester, the son of the late Joseph and Lottie Freedman Sachs. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Allen married the former Frimeth Revere. He owned and operated the East Side Liquor Store, Rochester. Allen is survivng by his loving wife, Frimeth; his daughter and son-in-law, Denise Sachs-Mishalanie and Chuck Mishalanie, of Utica; his son and daughter-in-law, Charles Chip and Carla Sachs, of Natick, MA; his brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Sora Sachs, of Rochester; his grandchildren, Aaron and Andrew Sachs, Chelsea and Jake Sachs-Mishalanie, Sonja Mishalanie and Eric Mishalanie and his fiancee, Erin Thurston; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Florence and Frank Suess, of Grande Junction; and several nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be 1:30 PM, Friday, from Temple Emanu-El, 2710 Genesee St., Utica, with Rabbi Jeffrey Segall officiating. Interment will be made in the Temple Emanu-El Cemetery, New Hartford. Shiva will be observed 7-9 PM, Saturday evening, 3-7 PM, Sunday, and 2-4 PM, Monday, at the home of Denise Sachs-Mishalanie and Chuck Mishalanie. Contributions, in Allens memory, may be offered to Temple Emanu-El. .
