Hannah Segal, 94, of Pasadena, CA, and formerly of Utica, passed away peacefully December 4, 2009, in Arcadia Methodist Hospital, Arcadia, CA. She was born October 31, 1915, in Utica, the daughter of the late Isaac and Hattie Singer Zacks, and was a graduate of Utica schools. She married Murray Segal on August 25, 1940. Mr. Segal passed away in 2003. Hannah was a member of Temple Emanu-El and active in the Sisterhood. She very much enjoyed traveling with her husband. She is survived by her family: daughter and son-in-law, Robbie and David Zeidberg; a granddaughter, Lara Zeidberg; a grandson, Louis Zeidberg and his wife, Jennifer Zeidberg; three great-grandchildren, Jacob, Morgan and Phoebe Zeidberg; nieces, Joni Selman, Lois Kleinberg and Sharon Schorr; and nephews, Larry and Jeffrey Segal. Her funeral service will be 11 AM, Wednesday, from Temple Emanu-El, 2710 Genesee Street, Utica. Interment will be in Temple Emanu-El Cemetery, New Hartford. Contributions in Hannahs memory may be offered to Temple Emanu-El Endowment Fund. Visitation will be Wednesday evening at the home of Peter and Linda Freedman, 10 Tallmadge Court, New Hartford, from 7-9 PM.
