Priscilla Curriere, 70, of Rome and formerly of Great Neck, NY, passed away peacefully, October 30, 2009, in The Pines, Utica.She was born on July 24, 1939, in Brooklyn, the daughter of the late Samuel and Sylvia Ganz Schiff. Mrs. Curriere was a graduate of Forest Hills High School, Forest Hills, NY, and attended the University of Bridgeport, Bridgeport, CT. On November 29, 1985, she married Michael A. Curriere, Sr. Mrs. Curriere is survived by her beloved husband; her daughter and son-in-law, Hope and Wendell Elliott, of Westmoreland; her son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Jenna Lynn Binder, of Willow Grove, PA; her sister and brother-in-law, Roberta and Herbert Platt, of New York City; her grandson, Caleb Elliot; her stepchildren, Roseanne Christensen, of VA, Frank and Deborah Curriere, of Utica, Michelle and William Lopicolo, of New Hartford, Phil and Deborah Curriere, of Monroe, NY, Lorie and George Lismore, of Newburgh, NY, Michael A. Curriere, Jr., and Thomas Curriere, both of Utica; many stepgrandchildren; many stepgreat-grandchildren; and her nephews and niece and their spouses, Gordon and Jodi Platt, of Chappaqua, NY, Douglas and Barbara Platt, of Florence, Italy, Neil and Yolanda Platt, of Brooklyn, and Leslie and Jason Plattzolov, of Brooklyn.Her funeral will be 1 PM, Sunday, at Jacobson-Pizer Funeral Chapel, Inc., 1123 Court St., Utica, with Rabbi Jeffrey Segall officiating. Interment will be made privately by the family. Visitation will be held from 12 noon, Sunday, until the time of the services at the funeral home. Contributions in Mrs. Currieres memory may be offered to a charity of ones choice.
