Ruth Perlman Fanelli, 93, lifelong resident of Utica, passed away peacefully on, Friday, January 9, 2015, in the Heritage Healthcare Center, Utica.
She was born on March 16, 1921, in Utica, daughter of the late Hymen R. and Rebecca J. Krieger Perlman and was a graduate of Utica Free Academy.
In July of 1958, Ruth married Daniel Fanelli. Mr. Fanelli passed away in 1972. For many years, she was a bookkeeper with Utica Paint.
Ruth is survived by her nieces and nephews, Helene and Anthony Combopiano, Karen Teller, Barbara and Charles Freeman, Leon and Alla Perlman, Gary and Bridget Levine, Lanny and Joyce Levine and Linda and Stuart Hershey and several great nieces and great nephews , several great-great nieces and great-great nephews and several cousins.
She was predeceased by her siblings and their spouses, Harry and Anne Perlman, Celia and Howard Teller and Esther and Arthur Levine and her nephew, Larry Teller.
Ruths graveside service will be 1:30 p.m., Monday, January 12, 2015 in the House of Jacob Cemetery, Wood Road, Whitesboro.
Shiva will be observed privately by the family. Donations, in memory of Ruth, may be offered to Congregation Zvi Jacob, 110 Memorial Parkway, Utica 13501 or the a charity of ones choice.
