Mrs. Pearl Brooks Hotch, 89, of Boston, MA, and formerly of New Hartford, NY, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2015, with her loving children by her side.
Pearl was born on October 11, 1925, in Utica, NY, the daughter of the late Jacob and Esther Lis Brooks, and was a graduate of Utica Free Academy.
She married Harold Hotch in 1945, and they lived in New Hartford, NY, until 2004 when they relocated to Boston to be near their daughters. Mr. Hotch passed away June 30, 2011. Pearl and her late husband were complementary partners in all aspects of their lives. They took pride in their daughters as well as their many years together operating Leeds Furniture Store on Genesee St. in Utica, NY.
She will be missed and forever cherished by her daughters, Debra Hotch, of Wellesley, MA, and Trudi Sacks, of Boston, MA; their husbands, Stephen Wiener and Richard Sacks; her grandchildren, Jason and Emily Breyan and Benjamin and Jennifer Sacks; and her brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Linda Brooks, of Chicago.
Graveside service will be 12 (Noon), Thursday, August 13, 2015, in Temple Emanu-El Cemetery, Roberts Road, New Hartford.
Family will observe Shiva at the home of her daughter, Debra Hotch, in Wellesley, MA, on Sunday, August 16, 2015, from 3 to 5 p.m. and Tuesday, August 18, 2015, from 7 to 9 p.m.
