Edward Henry Meyer died on May 18, 2009, at the age of 53. Beloved son of Doris and Manny (predeceased) Meyer; loving husband of Dana Tulis; dedicated father to Jessie Max; and devoted brother of Gail. Ed lived with his family in Bethesda, MD, and was the Chief Strategist for the International Trade Administration Department of Commerce in Washington, DC.
Eddie (as his close friends and wife called him) was born on September 2, 1955, in Utica, NY. While growing up in Utica, he attended H.R. Jones and Hughes Schools. He attended Williston Academy in Northampton, MA, during his high school years. He received his B.A. from Northeastern in Boston, and his Masters Degree in Public Administration from Columbia University.
Eddie was a big personality with many lifelong friends, including his friends he grew up with as well as his prep school friends. Eddie loved music and was an accomplished musician first as young boy playing the violin and moving on to his guitar, composing songs, playing the harmonica and singing. In 2001, he produced a CD called Freshly Twisted. Eddie was famous for his gourmet cooking and created meals and menus to the joy of friends and family.
Eddies ultimate passion was for his son, Jessie Max, 11 years old. Eddie shared his love of cooking and skiing with Jessie. Jess took those passions and made them his own. He loves to cook and he is a competitive ski racer, with a great deal of potential and dreams.
